広島県出身。幼少よりピアノとフルートを学び、声楽を田原祥一郎に師事する。慶應義塾大学総合政策学部を卒業後、日本オペラ振興会オペラ歌手育成部修了。イタリア政府給費生としてボローニャ王立 音楽院へ留学ののち、ローマ歌劇場のオペラコーチ、J.ジャルディーナに師事する。プーリア州オペラ研修奨学金第一位、サルッツォ市「マグダ・オリヴェーロ」オペラ国際コンクール優勝後、ジョルダーノ音楽祭《アンドレア・シェニエ》、ガラーツィ歌劇場《蝶々夫人》にてデビュー。欧州を中心に《椿姫》《カルメン《ボエーム》《トゥー ランドット》《ドン・ジョヴァンニ》ほか多くのオペラや交響楽作品で主役を務めている。一方、RAIやMediasetなど主要テレビ局における演唱や映画・ドラマ出演も多い。イタリア人気番組「AVANTI UN ALTRO!」には12年間レギュラー出演し、Newsweek日本版「世界が尊敬する日本人100人」にも選出された。日本ではマルティーナ・フランカ音楽祭やマスカーニ音楽祭、ロッシーニ歌劇場管弦楽団などイタリアとの提携公演《オテッロ」《ザネット」《カヴァレリア》《レクイエム》でソロを務め、日本オペラ《かぐや姫と帝の物語》《黒船》を主演。本年は映画「CITIZENs～戦わないという選択」の主演および「ピッコラフェリチタ〜小さな幸せ」主題歌の演唱も務めた。「イタリア共和国記念日式典」「イタリア三軍記念日式典」「イタリア海軍帆船ヴェスプッチ号東京初寄港開会式」などイタリア公式行事の演唱を度々務め、日伊協会「イタリアらしさを学ぼう」の開講、「世界ふしぎ発見!」イタリア編のミステリハンター役出演など、日伊間での文化発信をライフワークとしている。「ナポリの声ブルーニ賞」「ヨーロッパ経済文化アカデミー音楽功労賞」受賞。2025年大阪・関西万博ではイタリアパビリオンの公式アンバサダーおよ劇場公演芸術監督を務めた。アワジオペラカンパニー芸術監督、藤原歌劇団団員。

Originally from Fukuyama, Hiroshima, Ms. Fujii is an alumna of Japan’s Keio University, and refined her operatic artistry through the Japan Opera Foundation. Her talent was recognized with a scholarship funded by the Italian government, enabling her studies at the Bologna Philarmonic Academy. Under the mentorship of Maestro Joseph Gardina, Ms. Fujii achieved international recognition by winning Saluzzo’s international opera competition. Since making her debut in the role of Cio-Cio-San in Madame Butterfly at the Galați Municipal Theatre, Ms. Fiujii has played numerous significant opera roles in Italy, including performances in such operas as La Bohème, La Traviata, and Carmen. In Japan, Ms. Fujii has been actively involved in Italy-Japan cultural exchange projects and has been recognized for her contributions to Neapolitan classic music, receiving awards such as the Nino Rota Award and the Sergio Bruni Award. Her performances in Japan include Ikeda Riyoko’s The Tale of Princess Kaguya and the Emperor, The Shunjuza Opera Series, and From the Vatican to Japan – A Requiem of Prayer, and starred in recent productions of Zanetto and Rossini’s Otello. She also serves as General Manager of Awaji Opera Company in Japan.

Her activities are not limited to music, but also extended to a wide range of audience, including serving as a regular on Italy’s highest-rated TV program Avanti un altro! for 12 years. Ms. Fujii has been selected as one of The 100 Most Respected Japanese People in the World by Newsweek Japan and will serve as an ambassador for Italy’s Pavilion at Osaka’s World EXPO in 2025.
